108 Electronic Ignition

108 Electronic Ignition
(Also applies to 113, 111, 109 etc...)

In my 250S I have been running this combination:

Modifications made were very minor. A bit of the Pertronix adapter plate in the distributor was ground to fit correctly, and you need to sand off some of the material from the bottom of the rotor so it sits low enough on the shaft not to interfere with the cap. I also bypassed the ballast resistor that was necessary with the original coil and points.

My setup has been running for 2 years and 18k miles now without any issue at all. The engine holds a steady ~600rpm idle and runs to 6300 redline without a miss. I think the setup is pretty much what Randy recommends when using Pertronix.
