if you promise not to ever use visegrips again I share a possible solution (temporary) to your problem. I'm not familiar with your system and exactly how it's suppose to work and I'm guessing that you need the valve so that gas can be returned to the tank once the bowl is filled. on my 1983 dodge pickup (225ci slant 6) the inline fuel filter has one goesinta and two goesoutas. one of the goesoutas is an over pressure return to the gas tank (I assume configured internally to divert when over pressure occurs). given the majority of fuel pumps pump at about the same pressure it would be worth the $3 to put of these in place of your valve. it may take a little creative plumbing, where there's a will there's a way.I came across a pair of gasket sets for the Zeniths recently, and I am trying to remember if I have one of those valves. I imagine they are very expensive, if not NLA. Try Roger at ATVM.Words like "very expensive" and "NLA" kind of get me a little queezy right now. (The thought of having to buy another car on account of crunching a bit of brass on a fitting is both comical and terrifying!) |
