How To Remove the W126 ACC Pushbutton Assembly

How To Remove the W126 ACC Pushbutton Assembly

  • Undo two screws in ashtray. Remove ash tray.

  • Remove coin tray.

  • Remove radio.

  • Right above radio, right below push button asembly there are two screws under the lip where the radio is. Unscrew them.

  • Console pulls right out now.

  • Undo two 8mm nuts that hold the push button assembly in place, reef on the assembly (the wire bundles are thick and it won't want to move much), undo the two honking great connectors and you're done. It's out.

  • Installation is the reverse of removal, pay particular attention to the alignment to make it fit exactly as it did before. There is a bit of adjustment there.
